Evaluation Works is Rae Torrie and Robyn Bailey, two experienced evaluation and research specialists who work with government agencies and community organisations throughout Aotearoa New Zealand. We build teams as required, to ensure we have the right content, cultural and specialist expertise. We are Wellington-based.
Evaluation Works delivers evaluation and research services, undertakes evaluation capability building, and designs outcome measurement systems and evaluation and monitoring frameworks. We work in the following sectors – social services, health, youth, financial capability, housing, community, injury prevention and employment equity.
Evaluation Work’s commitment is for evaluation and research to help build strong, healthy, resilient people, families, whānau and communities. We are passionate about understanding and demonstrating the difference that an organisation, policy, programme or service makes – supporting organisations to know what works and does not.
Outcomes are central to this process. Evaluation Works specialises in the development of outcomes models and measures that support government and philanthropic funder reporting requirements, and the business of an NGO. We have developed expertise in helping community organisations to measure outcomes that matter at a relatively low cost while still providing good evidence.
We also have a particular interest in supporting organisations to develop their evaluative capability. We assist organisations to:
- set-up their own monitoring and evaluation frameworks, including outcomes and results measurement systems
- incorporate evaluative thinking into their practice, governance and strategy development.
We are active in our professional community and regularly present and write on important evaluation issues and professional practice. Rae is an ANZEA Board member.
