Wyllie & Associates was formed in 2013, by Dr Allan Wyllie.  Prior to this Allan was employed for 14 years as Director of Social Research at Phoenix Research. Ten years prior experience working in a senior research position at the University of Auckland underpins the methodological rigour and quality of delivery that clients can expect to receive. While at the University Allan had 22 papers published in refereed journals.
Allan works with others (the Associates), where appropriate, including Maori, Pacific and Asian researchers and evaluators.

Allan has headed a number of national programme evaluations, plus smaller evaluations for NGOs. Examples include:

  • Youth Sexuality Education Programmes
  • Health Promoting Schools
  • ‘Like Minds, Like Mine’ mental health destigmatisation programme
  • National Depression Initiative (featuring the John Kirwan TV campaign)

  • Mental health & addictions training programme for primary care nurses
  • MH101 mental health literacy programme
  • Te Reo Tuatahi programme (pro bono)
