ANZEA warmly invites you to register for our online workshop, Participatory Outcome Harvesting with Dr Jeph Mathias.
Learn to understand the principles and practise of Participatory Outcome Harvesting and be comfortable coding and managing outcomes in Dedoose.
Tuesday 28th July ⎢9:30am – 12:30 pm
Participatory Outcome Harvesting
Outcome Harvesting is primarily a philosophy, a way of thinking about development and social change. It is also a tool, a technique to capture that change, understand it and feed back relevant bits to change agents to help them adapt practise to what the context is telling them.
This workshop will start with a review of what evaluation is, what complexity is and why the way we monitor and capture change in complex situations must be different to how we have all learned to do it in complicated or technical fields. We will also look at ‘Outcome Harvesting’, unpacking and simplifying it in terms of the principles that underpin it. From that starting point most of the workshop will then be focused on how to collect and manage data using qualitative research tools (Dedoose, and Sensemaker).
By the end of the workshop participants should know what complexity is and why it is challenging to evaluate, understand the principles and practise of participatory outcome harvesting and be comfortable coding and managing outcomes in Dedoose.
