ANZEA Online Workshop: Part One

November 20, 2020 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

‘Logic maps and Theory of Change’ – What’s the difference and who cares?
ANZEA warmly invites you to register for our two part workshop on Logic Maps and the Theory of Change with Delwyn Goodrick.
Logic maps have commonly been used to help guide programme planning and evaluation.  The logic map is essentially ‘a policy or programme on a page’.  While logic maps differ, in layout and format, the key elements are usually inputs, activities, outputs and outcomes.  The evaluator often creates the map collaboratively with programme stakeholders in a mapping session.
Theory of Change diagrams are also one-page depictions of a programme or policy. Unlike logic maps, they focus more explicitly on how the programme works to achieve outcomes, rather than what the programme does and what results.
This workshop will introduce members to both tools,  when they might be useful, and how to plan a mapping session. The workshop will also cover common criticisms about their use in evaluation, and offer some helpful resources for those wanting to explore the use of these tools further.
Part one: Friday 20th November ⎢9:00am – 12:00 pm
Part two: Monday 30th November ⎢9:00am – 12:00 pm
