About the Role

As part of the Intelligence team, your role is responsible for facilitating Sport NZ’s evaluation work programme in conjunction with the evaluation team. The purpose of the evaluation programme is to create a strong evidence base to assess progress and achievement of Sport NZ’s strategy and inform strategic direction, operational decision-making, policy and strategy development, and continuous practice improvement.

With this combination of responsibilities, this role requires someone who:

∙has a practical understanding of evaluation theory, process and methodology
∙is experienced in leading end to end evaluation programmes,
∙has high conceptual thinking and an exceptional ability to identify strategic opportunities and emerging issues/risks
∙has excellent relationship building and stakeholder management skills

Further success in this role will be determined by your ability to understand sport and active recreation’s wider value to society and system challenges and opportunities.
